Secure Drop Boxes
Return your completed ballot at a secure drop box location until 8:00 p.m. Find secure drop box locations at https://caearlyvoting.sos.ca.gov.
In Person at any Voting Location
Drop off your ballot at any polling place, vote center or your county elections office from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Find in-person voting locations at https://caearlyvoting.sos.ca.gov. As long as you are in line at 8:00 p.m., you have the right to cast your ballot.

Sign-up at https://wheresmyballot.sos.ca.gov to receive automated notifications about your ballot by email, text (SMS), or voice call.

Ranked-Choice Voting
In Oakland, Ranked-Choice Voting (RCV) allows voters to rank up to five candidates, in order of preference, when marking their ballots. RCV means better choices, better campaigns, and better representation. Make sure to follow directions on your ballot to make the most of your vote!
